High Permeability CO2 Separation Membrane with CO2-Philic Groups

A novel approach was applied for the preparation of polymer membranes having CO2-philic group for CO2 separation.

The controlled degree of CO2-philic functionalization allowed the novel polymer membrane to possess favorable interaction with CO2 and permeate CO2 much faster than other gases. The membrane performed very high permeability with decent selectivity for CO2/N2 separation.
