Fabrication of Films and Coatings Using Shear Thickening, Impact Resistant Electrolytes

The present invention includes a method of fabricating of shear thickening electrolytes and coating materials. This method utilizes a unique blend of solvent selection, solids loadings, and separator preparation to create a shear thinning solution, that once dried and rewetted in the battery electrolyte salt, will shear thicken during impact/operation.
