Using self-aggregating molecules for water filtration.

The broad idea is to use biological molecules for filtering water and ions from a solution containing many components along with water and small ions. There are various benefits for this type of approach (a) the proteins involved in this invention are small peptides that are easy to produce (b) the filtration is highly sensitive to water and ions while rejecting any molecule larger than water (c) the approach will lead to cheap and versatile filtration technologies.
